One of the greatest strengths of the Tucson Torah Center is its people. At the heart of TTC is a diverse, dynamic group of rabbis and rebbetzins who bring warmth, scholarship, creativity, and deep dedication to building Jewish life in Tucson. Together, they represent a shared vision: authentic Torah, meaningful relationships, and a community where every Jew can find their place.
Rabbi Yeshaya Levin – Rosh Kollel
Rabbi Yeshaya and Rivky Levin joined TTC in 2023 and have quickly become central figures in shaping the Torah Center’s spirit and direction. Outgoing and approachable, Rabbi Levin serves as Rosh Kollel and Rabbi of the Congregation, setting the tone for a community grounded in authenticity, Jewish purpose, and accessible Torah learning.
Raised in Seattle, Rabbi Levin developed a love for the outdoors alongside a deep commitment to Torah study. His knowledge, warmth, and thoughtful leadership have made him a key resource for learners at every level, helping TTC foster an environment that is both intellectually serious and genuinely welcoming.
Mrs. Rivky Levin, M.S.Ed., grew up in Rochester, NY and brings her talent and experience to Tucson Torah Day School as Director of Early Childhood Education. Her energy and professionalism help lay the foundation for the next generation of Jewish growth in Tucson.
Rabbi Yehuda Palgon – Rosh Kollel
Rabbi Yehuda and Tehilla Palgon joined TTC in 2023. A Miami native, Rabbi Palgon brings fun, passion, and heart to Jewish programming. His ability to build genuine relationships and connect people across backgrounds has been instrumental in strengthening community bonds.
Known for his warmth and enthusiasm, Rabbi Palgon has a natural gift for inspiring others to engage with Torah in meaningful ways, making Jewish life both accessible and joyful.
Mrs. Tehilla Palgon, formerly of Manalapan, NJ, brings warmth and hospitality to TTC and works professionally as a CPA. Together, the Palgons exemplify the balance of dedication, professionalism, and community-minded leadership.
Rabbi Aharon Dovid Heisler – Executive Director & TTDS Head of School
Rabbi Aharon Dovid and Sara Heisler joined TTC in 2023. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Rabbi Heisler is a driven and capable leader with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. With years of experience building Torah infrastructure, he brings vision, organization, and momentum to TTC’s growth.
Equally comfortable teaching, organizing, or connecting one-on-one, Rabbi Heisler has a remarkable ability to develop deep relationships across the community. His door—and heart—are always open.
Mrs. Sara Heisler, M.Ed., grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and serves as the NCSY/JSU Chapter Director, bringing fresh energy and inspiration to Jewish youth in Tucson.
Rabbi Yehuda Leiter
Rabbi Yehuda and Rochie Leiter joined TTC in 2023. Raised in Rochester, NY and Manalapan, NJ, Rabbi Leiter grew up with a deep appreciation for the power of community impact. He is particularly skilled at helping individuals find their unique “spot” in Torah learning.
Through monthly shiurim, one-on-one learning, and social programming, Rabbi Leiter is deeply committed to cultivating the next generation of Jewish leadership in Tucson.
Mrs. Rochie Leiter, originally from Bucks County, PA, holds a master’s degree in social work from Wurzweiler and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She heads TTC’s women’s division, offering guidance, support, and meaningful programming for women across the community.
Rabbi Josh Levy
Rabbi Josh and Avigail Levy joined TTC in 2023. Originally from Manalapan, NJ, Rabbi Levy brings energy, enthusiasm, and organizational skill to TTC. Known affectionately as the “Head Chiller,” he leads the weekly ChillZone program, giving children a fun and positive connection to their Jewish identity and heritage.
Rabbi Levy and his wife also serve as TTC’s event coordinators, helping bring community programs and gatherings to life with warmth and precision.
Mrs. Avigail Levy, MS, CCC-SLP, grew up in Queens, NY and currently teaches Kindergarten while serving as Program Coordinator at TTDS. Her creativity and passion for education are felt throughout the school and community.
Rabbi Tzvi Aryeh Rennert
Rabbi Tzvi Aryeh and Tsirel Rennert joined TTC in 2023. Rabbi Rennert is a dedicated and conscientious rebbe at TTDS, known for his easy-going optimism and strong connection with his students.
He plays a pivotal role in giving children their first experiences with Hebrew reading and understanding, helping them connect meaningfully to Torah through practical skills and warmth. On Sundays, he runs the popular “Bagels, Bites, and Beyond” program, which has become a favorite among families.
Mrs. Tsirel Rennert, originally from Queens, NY, brings her organizational talents to TTC women’s events and works professionally as an actuary.
Rabbi Michoel Kessler – Director of Development
Rabbi Michoel and Sima Kessler joined TTC in 2025. Raised in Houston, TX, Rabbi Kessler brings Texas warmth, strong organizational skills, and a passion for institutional growth. His experience as Building Manager at the Rabbinical Seminary of America helped shape his commitment to building thriving Torah institutions.
With tireless drive, Rabbi Kessler focuses on expanding TTC’s reach and strengthening Jewish life throughout Tucson.
Mrs. Sima Kessler, originally from Milwaukee, brings creativity and a love of teaching to TTC and currently teaches in the TTDS preschool.
Rabbi Binyomin Goldenberg
Rabbi Binyomin and Elisheva Goldenberg joined TTC in 2025. Raised in North Miami Beach, Florida, Rabbi Goldenberg teaches at TTDS with a clear vision for each child’s long-term success—academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Known for his creative, visual teaching style, Rabbi Goldenberg makes learning exciting and engaging, both in the classroom and through one-on-one learning with community members.
Mrs. Elisheva Goldenberg, a nurse practitioner originally from Philadelphia, PA, coordinates Shabbos afternoon youth groups, bringing her passion for education and connection to TTC’s youngest members.
Together, this remarkable group of leaders is shaping a vibrant, growing Torah community—one relationship, one learner, and one family at a time.
